DAVID Beckham and wife Victoria last night dismissed rumours that they plan to divorce as a “crock of s**t”.
Bookies had suspended betting on the pair splitting after wild gossip circulated among thousands of Twitter and Facebook users that they were set to announce the end of their marriage.
Bookmakers had suspended betting on David and Victoria splitting after wild online rumors spread on social media
But a spokeswoman for 44-year-old Spice Girl Posh told The Sun it was untrue.
She said: “There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news.
A spokesman for ex-England ace David, 43, then described the rumor as “laughable” — adding: “It’s a crock of s**t.
Posh and Becks, wed 19 years, spoke out to silence gossips who had made the speculation over an imminent split on one of the internet’s most hotly- discussed “trending” topics.
Bookmakers then fanned the flames still further by suspending betting on a break-up.
A spokesman for Paddy Power said: “We’ve decided to suspend betting on the separation between Posh and Becks.”
William Hill’s spokesman said: “The rumor mill has gone mad and we think there is probably something in this.”
But fashion designer Victoria had addressed the rumors by posting a gushing Instagram message to her hubby, who is in China at a football summit.
Writing alongside a snap of herself with their youngest child — six-year-old Harper — she said: “Morning cuddles x So much, love. We love and miss u @davidbeckham.”
In January The Sun revealed the couple’s marriage was under strain over David’s decision to create a football team in Miami, where he would be based while the family remained in London.
A source told us at the time that Posh was “seething, devastated and furious”.
Last month we told how the couple has been using social media and their own children to protect Brand Beckham — worth an estimated £340million — amid rumored tensions between the pair.
In January last year, David dismissed the idea they were together only because of their earning potential.
He told Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “People have talked about, ‘Do we stay together because it’s a brand?’
“Of course not. We stay together because we love each other. We stay together because we have four amazing children.”
The superstar couple, who together attended last month’s royal wedding in Windsor, started dating in 1997 and tied the knot two years later. Harper, their only daughter, has three brothers — Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, and Cruz, 13.
